# Reading the InfraAudit dashboard and its key metrics

> Understand what the InfraAudit dashboard shows, how to read each panel, and how to use quick actions to jump to the right section fast.

The dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It gives you a snapshot of infrastructure health across all connected cloud accounts, surfacing the most important numbers — open drifts, compliance score, recent cost changes — without requiring you to navigate to individual sections.

## Summary cards

Four cards at the top of the dashboard give an immediate status read:

| Card                 | What it shows                                                    |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Providers**        | Number of connected cloud accounts and their current sync status |
| **Resources**        | Total discovered resources across all connected providers        |
| **Open drifts**      | Active drift findings broken down by severity                    |
| **Compliance score** | Average compliance score across all enabled frameworks           |

Click any card to jump directly to the corresponding section.

## Recent alerts

The **Recent alerts** panel lists the last 10 alerts by creation time. Each row shows:

* Alert type (security, cost, compliance, or performance)
* Severity
* Affected resource
* Timestamp

Click an alert to open the full detail view, where you can acknowledge it or mark it as resolved.

## Cost snapshot

The cost snapshot panel shows:

* **This month** — estimated spend to date
* **Last month** — final spend
* **MoM change** — month-over-month percentage delta
* **Sparkline** — daily spend for the last 30 days

If billing data hasn't synced yet, the panel shows "Waiting for billing data" with a button to trigger a manual sync. Billing data syncs daily by default.

## Drift activity chart

A bar chart shows drift detections per day for the last 14 days, broken down by severity (critical, high, medium, low). A spike in this chart usually corresponds to a deployment or unplanned configuration change in your cloud environment.

Below the chart, a table shows the five most recent drift findings with their status and a quick **Resolve** action for straightforward cases.

## Quick actions

Three buttons in the top-right corner let you act without navigating away:

| Button                   | What it does                                         |
| ------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| **Run scan**             | Triggers a drift detection scan across all providers |
| **Connect provider**     | Shortcut to the Cloud Providers page                 |
| **View recommendations** | Opens the AI recommendations list                    |

## Customizing the dashboard

The dashboard layout is fixed. You can collapse individual panels by clicking the chevron in each panel header — the collapsed state is saved per user.
